Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

We had a great holiday season. The pictures below are in no particular order.

Mother love. There is nothing better than a snooze with your wee one.

Happy New Year! Adam, Colin and I spent NYE with Kayley, Kenny and their families. It was awesome! Here we are with our friend Lynn!

Here Adam is showiug us just how tall the iglu is.

What a handsome pair! We chilled out in the iglu for quite a while. It was quite warm and there were caribou skins on the floor to sit on.

Here is a picture of the iglu from the outside.

More mother love!

Adam and I did some baking.

I put a bow on Colin because he is the best gift and well it's cute! Notice the cute slippers from uncle Chris.

Look at me!

Hmmm! Desmond this is awesome!

Gift wrap for me, really?

My first Christmas gift ever - a Bob the Builder ball.

Here I am busying myself while momma cooks dinner for friends.

We hope you all have a splendid and blessed new year!

Baby Christmas Party!

Colin's friend (and birthday bud) Bella had a Christmas party and secret Santa book exchange. It was a lot of fun. There was lots of gift wrap for the babies to play with and eat. I thought I did an excellent job taking the paper out of Colin's mouth but the next day we saw wrapping paper and other shiny stuff in his diaper:)!

Oh and we scored two Sandra Boynton books that we don't have. We are trying to collect all of them so this was a major score.

Here the kiddos are showing their early literacy skills by reading a book. The dude in green is Desmond and the chick is Bella.

More kiddos playing. And Connor sleeping.

All the mommas were waiting with arms wide open to catch falling babies. Look at Colin's big smile and pose. L-R: Gavin, Bella, Connor, Desmond, Colin.

Colin loves his buddy Desmond. "We all need somebody to lean on"

Connor what are you doing?

We are anxiously awaiting Christmas and so very excited for Colin to tear up all the paper.

Merry Christmas!!!

December.. wow time flies

Well it's almost Christmas and although Colin has no idea we are excited for him.

Colin is crawling around the whole apartment now but this picture was taken at the very beginning of his crawling.

Don't they look just alike? Adam gives Colin a bath almost everynight which is a nice bonding experience.

This was one of the last nights that we were about to go outside easily. It was snowimg quite a bit and Colin was much more interested in the snow than Santa.

Oh yay Boston Pizza! We went to Boston Pizza with friends for Adam's birthday. It was a lot of fun. Colin loves to explore all the new things around him and the menu was a big hit.

Daddy and Colin were both sick and so they took a nap together and of course I had to take a picture of this very cute moment.

Again you can see that Colin prefers to play with things that are not toys. He loves to play in the tubberware cupboard and he really loves these baking cups.

If you know me (Natasha), you know that I love books. I am so excited that Colin shares this love. He loves to look at pictures and listen to stories. He even goes and takes this book off the shelf and looks at them.

Our church had a Christmas dinner and we dressed up for it.

I'mi in love with a little blue eyed boy.

This was the day before our apartment got really cold. Colin is wearing his baby legs to prevent getting carpet burn as he navigates around the apartment.

We have started to sleep train Colin and this is the result. He is becoming quite attached to his little froggy.

Ahhh Colin has not been feeling well and falls asleep on the floor. Three of us have the pajamas that he is wearing.

I'm a big boy now - big enough to sit up in a cart. We are looking for Santa.

When we go to Wal-mart, I love putting some musical toys in the cart with Colin to play with.

We found Santa and merry he was not. This was probably a good thing though as Colin was not afraid at all.

2 cute videos

Clap, clap, clap your hands...

We taught Colin how to clap his hands and we love it. We bought him this Christmas dog because it is super cute and bigger than Colin. In years to come we will be able to tell him on your first Christmas your stuffed animal was bigger than you! I like that idea.

Highchair eating fun times...

Colin loves eating! He eats all kinds of food and thinks it is quite fun. He also manages to try to eat all kinds of things that are not food. We recently discoverd that he loves cooked dinner. He is getting quite good at the pincher move (that is getting a bit of food with your thumb and pointer for all you non-parents) and now he prefers to feed himself which is quite fine with us.

And in other exciting news, it is almost Christmas and uncle Chris is coming to spend Christmas with us. YAY!

Lots of New Developments:)!

Colin has developed a lot this past week. Not only has he started to crawl a little, I was very surprised to discover that he has two teeth. Obviously the teething went well since I didn't even know it was happening. Looking back on the past week I can see that he was being more vocal and tugging at his ears a bit. I discovered the teeth when I saw him biting his arm and went to check out if he was hurting himself and there were two little teeth. Amazing:)!

The Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch passed through Yellowknife and of course we had to get out and see all the action. It was great! Colin was his usual angelic self and barely made a peep. He enjoyed looking at the flame, fireworks and all the people. We got him a flag, classic coke bottle, and a noise maker to keep for his big boy room.

This is one of my all time favorite pictures because of what you can't see but I can feel. Colin was sitting here and he put his arm around me and rubbed my back. We sat like this for a long time. It will be a moment to store in my heart forever.

Here are some pictures of Colin in his crib. It seemed like a moment ago that he was way to small to put in this crib. And now he is crawling around it and pulling himself up. He has learned that his momma and dadda are just outside the bumper pads and he peeks out at us when he wants us. He looks at me with the sweetest grin and of course we pick him right up. He has learned to trust us and for the most part doesn't cry when he needs us.

Colin dressed up as a lamb for the actual Halloween day and is ever so cute!!! He went trick-or- treating with dadda and brought momma home a lot of candy.

Colin is starting to do push ups and crawl a little bit. I love watching him practice what he has learned. He practices for a while and then has to take a break and rest. It is very sweet.

In other news, Colin has eaten carrots as well now and is not too impressed by them.

Finally, a new blog posting!

It has been a long time since we posted anything on the blog. We have had a busy couple of months and our computer was having a lot of trouble. We got a new computer (YAY!) so now we will be posting more.

Adam usually posts but I (Natasha, that is) will be posting from now on. I have more time and have to earn my keep around here.

Colin is growing and developing fast. We are madly in love with him and are extremely thankful to God for this wonderful blessing.

Colin is eating solids now, sitting up and rolling all over the place. He has eaten the following: rice cereal, peach, cantelope, honeydew melon, apple, apple sauce, avocado, egg yolk, banana, water, baby mum mum cracker, green beans, squash, orange, tomato and a few others. He loves squash, cantelope, and apple sauce. He does not like rice cereal or banana. He also loves water.
I just ate a whole bowl of rice cereal. I loved it but as soon as I tasted more flavourful food I decided I would never eat this slop again.

Look at my eyes.

Happy Halloween Folks!!! Momma made this costume for me. Here I am at the CO-OP getting my pictures taken. Everyone loved me.

Momma thought this corn would be a nice prop - I thought it was yummy!

Smile!

Here we are at a momma and baby group with my friends Bella and Emily.

I like to roll under the futon.

I can sit up all by myself. And notice that I have a bib on in almost every picture. I am a drool machine.

I am a lucky little boy who gets to eat apples in momma and dadda's bed. I love apples.

Baby food that momma made me. I really didn't like it at first but after a few tries I started to like it. Momma says she is not a short order cook and I will eat what she makes.

I love, love, love my dadda! Momma is sitting with her feet up in the living room while dadda and me do the dishes. Ssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh I'm sleeping.

This is my first time in my high chair. I really like it. Momma puts me here while she makes dinner. I love the noise of the pots and pans and momma tells me about the meals she is making.

Here I am helping momma wash dishes. I love my baby carrier and being on momma's back helps me see everything going on.

As you can see, I'm cute.

This is one of my first times sitting up all by myself. I crashed on my face right after this picture but no crying for me.

This is the face I will use to get my way with momma. Let's face it folks.....she is wrapped around my finger. I can do no wrong.

My friend baby Desmond.

I do not like trying on hats in August.

I love my exercsaucer. Thanks Grandpa.

Momma loves me and she kisses me A LOT!

I visited with my aunt Linda in Calgary. She gave me lots of attention and I love her a lot.

This is me and my great grandma. We played cards and ate lots of yummy food. Notice my cap. It looks cute on me.

Family:).

I can roll over.

Here I am looking at fish at the Calgary zoo. I was mesmerized.

Finally....I get to meet my uncle Chris. I love him.

AHHHH...I love cantelope. It is so good and juicy.

Momma tried to give me a bottle. Silly momma. I'm smarter than that.

I love to help momma cook. Here we are making soup.

Winnie + Colin = Love (plus a huge dowry)

YUMMY!

And the kisses continue....
